XLP member, Global Logistics Projects Transports Chemical Plant Equipment from the Netherlands to Bangladesh – Successful Negotiation Resulted in Big Saving

2023 01 23

Global Logistics Projects recently transported 29 packages of chemical plant equipment from the Netherlands to Bangladesh. The gross weight was 79,347 kgs and the volume of the shipment was 413.1 m3

Port of Loading: Port of Rotterdam, Netherlands
Port of discharge: Port of Chittagong, Bangladesh

This move was quite a challenging move because the shipping case was 420 cm height, and all the container shipping lines declined this load as 40'FR FCL/FCL. Due to their good relationship with CMA CGM project division, Global Logistics Projects showed and explained to them that such a FR can be loaded with chains, not possible with regular container spreader.
The result: big advantage for their client – the negotiation resulted in a saving of 55,000 – 70,000 USD because otherwise they would have booked this under breakbulk.
