Today there was a new round of interministerial Moldovan-Lithuanian interministerial political consultations, in videoconference format, at the Secretary of State / Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Lithuanian part being represented by Vice Minister Dalius Čekuolis, and the Moldovan one by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Dumitru Socolan. The Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of Moldova participated in the consultations of Moldova, Kestutis Kudzmanas
and the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in the Republic of Lithuania, as well as representatives of some departments in the framework of the two ministries. The consultation agenda included issues regarding the dynamics of Moldovan-Lithuanian relations; the European course of the Republic of Moldova and help offered by Lithuania in this respect; the effective interaction between both states was highlighted within the UN, OSCE, the Council of Europe and NATO, the role and the role and the the activities of the Lithuanian Embassy in Chisinau in its capacity as the NATO Embassy contact point; the Transnistrian conflict regulating the Transnistrian conflict, as well as security subjects in the region. The Lithuanian Party looked forward to confirming the Lithuanian Government's willingness to further support the Republic of Moldova during its European course, by providing the necessary assistance and expertise in implementing structural reforms in accordance with the provisions of the Association Agreement with the European Union.
